What Basketball Legends 2020 is
Basketball Legends 2020 is a character match, not a shooting drill. You play 1-on-1, or two people share one keyboard, and you score with shots, dunks, and a super shot while stealing on defense.
The catalog gives each side its own keys. Player 1 and Player 2 do not share a layout, so the letter B and the arrow keys belong to different people. Treating both sides as the Basketball Bros jump will not fire the actions this game lists.
Named characters are the point of the catalog description. This page does not add a roster count or a season length beyond the match the controls describe.
Core mechanics
A single tap in a direction moves. A second tap in that direction dashes. The dash is how you get past a defender who is already in the lane. A late single tap just walks into them.
Shooting, the super shot, and steal are separate keys from movement. One side's steal key does nothing useful if the other person presses it. Check which side you sat down on before the tip.
Dunks and the super shot spend the opening you created with the dash. If the dash never happens, those stronger shots are taken into a contest.

How to play
- Decide who is Player 1 and who is Player 2 before the jump ball. Their keys are not interchangeable.
- Move with a single tap. Dash with a second tap when a defender is between you and the rim.
- Use the shot key for a normal attempt and the super-shot key when the catalog's stronger attempt is the one you want.
- On defense, press your side's steal key. The other side's steal key will not take the ball for you.
- If a dunk is available in the build you loaded, use it after the dash has already beaten the contest.

Strategy
Dash before the shot
A single direction tap does not create space. The second tap is the dash. Shoot after that, or the defender is still in the lane.
Keep the key charts apart
B and the arrows belong to different players in the catalog notes. Pressing the other side's steal key does not switch the ball to you.
Save the super shot
The super shot is a separate input from the normal shot. Spending it while still walking, before the dash, throws away the opening it needs.
Common mistakes
- Player 1 and Player 2 do not share keys. B and the arrow keys belong to different sides.
- Double-tapping a direction dashes. A single tap only moves, so a late dash runs into the defender.
A run from start to finish
Sit Player 1 and Player 2 on their own keys before the tip. Walk with one direction tap until a defender is in the lane, then tap that direction again. The second tap is the dash. If you shoot on the first tap, you are still walking into the contest, and the super-shot key will not create the space the dash was for.
On the change of possession, steal with your side's key only. The other side's letter or arrow will not pull the ball across the keyboard. A dunk or super shot comes after the dash has already beaten the defender. Spending it while you are still on a single tap is how a stronger animation still misses.
Replay one possession in slow pieces. Single-tap toward the wing and stop. If a shot goes up during that single tap, the dash never happened. Tap the same direction again, then use the shot key once the defender is behind you. The super shot is a different key and should come after that dash, not instead of it. On defense, cover with your side's steal key. If nothing happens, you are pressing the other player's letter or arrows. Switch seats rather than mashing both layouts. A dunk into a defender who was never dashed past is the same miss as a normal shot. The character name does not change the double-tap.
- Assign sides and put each person's hands on that side's keys.
- Walk with single taps until you see a gap.
- Double-tap to dash past the defender.
- Shot, dunk, or super shot once the lane is open.
- On the next possession, steal with your own key rather than reaching for the other side's layout.
