Basket & Ball·Ready to start
Basket & Ball is a platform route. You move the basketball across platforms and bounce it over traps until it reaches the basket.
Holding a direction into a trap is an instant miss. The spacebar bounce has to happen before the edge, not after the ball is already in the hazard.
It is not a shooting-aim game. Treating the level like a hoop meter wastes the platform route the stage is built around.
Direction keys carry the ball along the platform. They do not aim a shot at a distant rim. The basket is the end of the route.
Spacebar is the bounce that clears a trap or a gap. Timing is before the edge. A bounce after you have fallen does not rewind the miss.
Basketball Line would solve a similar picture by drawing. Here you have to walk the ball, which means every trap is a movement problem.

Use arrow keys to move the basketball in all directions. Press spacebar to make the ball bounce and jump over obstacles.
Touch and drag to move the basketball. Tap to make the ball bounce and jump over obstacles.
Spacebar after the edge is too late. The direction you are holding will already have taken the ball into the trap.
Holding forward through a hazard is the instant miss. Let go, bounce, then press the next direction.
The level is a route. A shooting arc from the start does not replace the platforms.
Walk the ball toward the next trap and press spacebar while there is still platform under it. Holding the direction key across the edge is the instant miss. The bounce has to happen first. After you land, choose the next direction. Do not keep the old key held from before the jump.
If you start aiming at the basket like a shot meter, you will skip the platforms the level is made of. Basketball Line would have drawn this route. Here you have to bounce it. Restart the approach one platform earlier whenever the bounce was late.
Hold the direction key until you are close to a trap, then let go and press spacebar while the ball still has platform under it. If you keep holding the direction through the edge, the bounce is already too late and the miss is instant. After a landing, pick the next direction on purpose. The key you held before the bounce will carry you into the next trap if you never released it. Aiming at the basket from the start skips the platforms. The basket is the end of the route, not a shot meter at the far side of the screen.

Also a trap course to an exit. One runner faces moving floors, with no ball to bounce.
